    Bayou Vermilion District

Objective:

    Raise awareness for target audience within Lafayette and surrounding regions of litter and pollution on Bayou Vermilion. Help reduce litter to bayou and promote recreational activities of the bayou.

Target Audience:

    Individuals, 20-45, living in Lafayette and the surrounding area. They have jobs, families, and are always on the go.

Problem:

    The Bayou Vermilion in Lafayette, LA has a large amount of litter and pollution buildup. An outreach and awareness campaign must be created to notify the public of the bayou conditions in order to reduce litter and to promote the bayou as a local landmark to the Lafayette area.

Strategy:

    Change target audience’s perception of littering through affective executions. Create a collaborative project to help reduce litter to Bayou Vermilion as campaign progresses.

The Message:

    Polluted BaYou.

The message describes that the bayou is polluted by you-the people living in Lafayette and surrounding areas.

Copy Platform for Execution:
